Khulna Shipyard Limited (KSY) Bangladesh
Khulna Shipyard Limited (KSY) is an independent Government commercial enterprise under Ministry of Defense, Government of Bangladesh, operated by Bangladesh Navy. The Shipyard works directly under the Naval Head Quarter.
KSY with over five decades of reputation has been leading the Bangladesh Shipbuilding industry and had built a wide spectrum of ships conforming to rules and regulations of leading international classification societies.
Repair and renovation are the most normal activities at this shipyard. KSY has so far repaired over 1800 vessels; out of these, about 50% were man of war. Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Coast Guard, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Rifles, Bangladesh Railway, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation, Sugar Mills, Power Development board are KSY's regular customers. Extensive facilities for under water and above water repair of ships including all mechanical and electrical machinery repair are available in KSY.
