Our company has been evolving since 1967 into specialists in the building of aluminum high speed passenger vessels with waterjet propulsion systems. In the infancy of the Southeast Alaska tourism business, our family created Allen Marine and started building and operating vessels to meet the needs of this unique market as well as providing vessel haul out and repair services. Over the years, Allen Marine has grown through hard work, innovative designs and a healthy reputation for quality and vessel dependability.
Allen Marine’s capabilities don’t stop with passenger vessels. We have a 65 ft. X 21 ft. all aluminum landing craft design with a 65,000 lb. capacity. We have built two of these, one for the National Park Service and one for the California Park Service. We also build gangways and both vehicular and pedestrian bridges. We have built one of the longest all aluminum bridges in the world. It is 140 feet long by 16 feet wide and weighs 63,000 lbs. It has a maximum gross vehicle load of 72,000 lbs. We use the bridge to access our 100 foot by 360 foot barge that we use for our tour operation in Juneau Alaska.
